I Detect a Pattern

Patterning is a skill that kindergartners work on all year long. Noticing and developing patterns are important developmental tasks. Both math skills and literacy skills grow through the use of patterns.

And patterns are fun! We love creating patterns.

Alternating items is a pattern.

Repeating an element over and over is a pattern.

A little symmetry creates a pattern.

We even create vertical patterns.

Cardboard level, blocks level, cardboard level, blocks level....

How do you like to make patterns?
